This amazing lamp has been made by upcycling a 1917 Kodak No. 2A vintage folding camera. It sits on a vintage Johnson of Henderson tripod, which has lots of age related marks with a lot of the brass showing. This just gives the lamp its vintage look. It can be used as a desk lamp or a floor lamp by extending the legs, from a height of 17 inches to 44 inches.
LED Bulb included with the lamp, E27 fitting.
The 1917 Kodak No. 2A Folding Autographic Brownie is a classic antique camera produced by Eastman Kodak. It was designed for type 116 roll film and is highly collectable.
Notable Features of the camera:
Autographic Feature: A small metal door on the back of the camera allowed photographers to open it and use a stylus to write directly onto the edge of the film.
Viewfinder: Includes a small, rotating brilliant waist-level finder for both portrait and landscape framing.
Bellows: The leather or leatherette bellows fold into a compact, durable wooden/metal casing.
The wiring we have used for this lamp is three core twisted vintage looking cable and an in-line on/off switch.
This camera and tripod are over 119 years old and were made during WW1 in New York USA.
What a time in history to be taking photographs.
