This desk lamp has been made by upcycling  a vintage 1956 Kodak Retina folding camera. It is powered by a 12v transformer, which powers the light source, a vintage Ilford camera flash unit. The lamp sits on a vintage Accura desk tripod. 
The 1956 Kodak Retina  is a high-quality 35mm German-built folding rangefinder camera. Renowned for its compact design, it features a fast, sharp \(50mm\) \(f/2.0\) Schneider-Kreuznach Retina-Xenon lens, a Synchro-Compur shutter (\(1-1/500\) sec), and an uncoupled selenium light meter, often considered a premium, precise, and highly portable vintage camera.
This all makes for an original lamp for your home or office.
